$99 for Three (3) Laser Hair-Removal Treatments.


We recommend a minimum of 6 treatments for effective hair reduction. Depending upon each person's hair and skin type and frequency of treatment more or less treatments may be needed, but we highly recommend the full 6 treatments.

Consults and treatments are by appointment only
For each appointment/treatment, there is a 24-hour cancellation policy or the entire Groupon is forfeited, and there is a $99 nonrefundable fee to reinstate the Groupon. Please arrive 15 minutes before your appt. IF YOU ARE RUNNING LATE TO YOUR APPT, call us immediately at 215.792.6377 so that we can try our best to accommodate you. We must be notified 24 hours before your appointment to avoid the $99 rescheduling fee.

May not combine with existing packages
Each Groupon is for three treatments, and all three treatments must be used on the same area, spaced out appropriately (one treatment at a time, not at the same time) For all areas above the neck region, we recommend treatments spaced out every 4 weeks. For all areas from the neck down, we recommend treatments spaced out every 6-8 weeks, so 7 weeks is the usual timeframe. For patients getting treatment both above and below the neck regions, 6 weeks is an appropriate timeframe.

GROUPON Treatment Areas

You may choose from the following areas:

Bikini - the region that is exposed outside of a standard bikini bottom, two fingerbreadths on all 3 sides. Imagine if you are wearing a bikini bottom and it is a triangle shape - we will treat the area outside of the triangle on the front of the body as far as two fingerbreadths from the triangle on the top and 2 sides. This area is considered a large region in the laser hair removal world (normal treatment price is $750 for 3 treatments only), so it is an great deal.

Underarms - normally considered a large region as well. The normal price is $760 for 3 treatments only so this is a fabulous deal.

Lip and Chin, Ears, Nape of Neck,Throat and  Belly line - area on the front of the body between the top of the bikini and the belly button, an inch wide.

Frequently Asked Questions about Laser Hair Removal

How does laser hair removal work?
Forget shaving, plucking, waxing, threading and electrolysis - using technology beyond that of other lasers, our Laser Hair Removal System disables hundreds of hair follicles in less than one second, and promises long-lasting permanent hair reduction results. Our Laser generates intense, high-powered, long pulsed laser light that is excellent for treating both fine and coarse hair.

The laser effectively disables unwanted pigmented hair follicles, thus impairing their growth. The laser's cold handpiece is placed gently on the skin and glides along as pulses of light are delivered from the laser. When the light penetrates the skin, it selectively damages the root of the unwanted hair.

For our female patients - if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you cannot have any laser hair removal treatment. Don't worry - your Groupons CAN be extended until you are ready to undergo treatment, just email us at groupon@renewmed-spa.com and we will take care of this for you. Or, you may give your Groupons as a gift to anyone else. Also, if you are planning on becoming pregnant, you may want to delay starting your treatment.

What type of laser is used?
We are pleased to have a long pulse ND:YAG 1064nm laser. This is the first laser cleared for permanent hair reduction of all skin types (I-VI) and is FDA-approved for permanent hair reduction.

Are the treatments painful, and will I need numbing cream?
Laser Hair Removal treatments are generaly well treated but for those having a Brazilian 10% Topical Lidocaine is included with treatment.

The  laser has a cold tip that provides the most efficient method of cooling for optimal skin protection and comfort - the laser pulses and then emits an immediate cooling effect. Typically patients do not need numbing cream for treatment of small areas. For very sensitive patients we can provide numbing cream that is applied prior to treatment. As the hair is reduced with subsequent treatments, the pain decreases exponentially.

What type of hair is ideal for laser hair removal?
Our long pulse ND:YAG 1064nm laser treats all skin types: 1 - 3 (lighter skin tones) and skin types 3 - 6 (darker skin tones).  Coarse dark hair on light skin is easiest to treat; hair on darker skin is harder to treat. Finer hair is only sometimes affected. Typically, a patient with dark hair and light skin can reach their goals in fewer sessions than the national average, while patients with lighter hair or darker skin tones will usually require additional sessions.

What type of hair does not respond to laser hair removal?
Laser hair removal does not work on hairs that are white, blonde, light brown or red. Laser hair removal also does not work on most fine and vellus hair (peach-fuzz)


Is a consult needed before treatment, and can I have a consult and treatment the same day?
Yes. We require a brief 15-minute consult in person before undergoing immediate treatment so that we can obtain a medical history and evaluate your hair if needed, but usually a brief phone consult is all that is needed.

How many treatments will I need, and how often?
On average, a patient will need 6 treatments to achieve permanent hair reduction: every 4 weeks for the neck and above, and every 6-8 weeks from the neck down. Patients receiving treatment both above and below the neck regions should get treatment every 7 weeks. Some patients may need 8 treatments. The reason why a series of treatments are needed is because our hair grows in different phases: the growing phase, the resting phase and the falling out phase. The laser can only affect the active growing phase, so several sessions are needed to kill the hair in all phases of growth.

All lasers for hair removal will strive to treat 80-90% of all hairs. Any hairs that do remain should be very fine and sparse.  Multiple treatments (spaced 4-8 weeks apart), depending on the type of hair and skin color, have been shown to provide long term reduction of hair.

If I go longer between treatments than the recommended time frame, will the treatments still work?
It is important to treat the hairs in each new growth phase. This is achieved by not waiting too long in between appointments. If you delay your appointments, additional treatments may be needed to reach permanent hair reduction.

Is there anything I need to avoid or do before my treatment?
In order for the laser to effectively treat the hair, the follicle needs to be intact. Therefore, do not tweeze or wax the areas to be treated for 4 weeks prior to treatment. Shaving is 100% fine, and please arrive clean shaven in the areas being treated (please shave the night before or morning of your treatment)

If and only if you have a questionable situation regarding your hair, then we will ask you to have very mild hair growth intact.
Stop using Retin-A products on the area that is being treated for 2 weeks before your treatments and throughout your treatment cycle.

If you have a tendency to have cold sores, you may want to start a course of Valtrex before your treatment.

Is there anything I need to do after my treatment?
Avoid the sun for one week after treatment, wear protective clothing, and apply 30+ SPF to the treated areas several times daily, especially on treated facial areas.

It is very important that you have your forms filled out before you arrive to your appointment, or arrive 15 minutes early to fill them out.

What is your cancellation policy or what if I forget my appointment?
Per Groupon, there is a 24 hour cancellation policy, or the entire Groupon is forfeited. However, with a $99 fee we will reinstate your Groupon and your appointment. This applies to each appointment you make with our office. If you are running late, call us immediately at 215.792.6377 so that we can try to accommodate you.

I decided that I would really like to have a larger area treated that's not offered as part of this Groupon - can I upgrade my Groupon to larger areas?
Yes - your Groupon purchase price may be applied towards a larger treatment area. We will provide you with this information at your first visit, but you must notify us that you are considering an upgrade so that we can provide the adequate amount of time for treatment.


What if I still have stray hair remaining after my Groupons are used?
We recommend  strictly following the schedule of treatments for best results. If you still have hair remaining after your treatments, you may purchase additional individual treatments.

What if laser hair removal is not for me, what can I do with this Groupon? Or, I was given the Groupon as a gift and I do not want or cannot get laser hair removal?
Within one year of issue, you may use the amount paid for your Groupon towards cosmetic services in our office - the credit cannot be used towards products, or services covered by insurance. Other restrictions may apply.

The Groupon promotion is over, but can I purchase more Groupons now?
